Defense Rests In 'american Sniper' Murder Trial - 21 News Now, More Local News For Youngstown, Ohio -

Woeber put up a building at 561 Madison Ave. to make the mustard and horseradish mustard hed been concocting at the family home on Sherman Avenue, people wondered why on earth the German would build anything so far from town. It wasnt long until the plant and the neighboring home he and wife Helen shared were surrounded by a wave of residential building north of Buck Creek. What Woebers critics had failed to recognize is how quickly history can overtake us one of the reasons for the Clark County Heritage Centers exhibit on Woebers that will remain in the main lobby until months end. The Woeber exhibit kicks off a program that will feature displays of at least three historic hometown businesses a year and encourage local businesses to save and store their memorabilia so it will be properly preserved when the present suddenly becomes the past. Had the Woeber family done that around the turn of the century, the current display might be able to tell us whether the recipes Carl Woeber started with in 1905 were family recipes or just traditional German recipes.

Oscar-winners ?Big Hero 6,? ?Whiplash? are on Blu-ray, DVD this week | Deseret News

Fletcher's newest project is freshman Andrew Neyman (Miles Teller), a prodigy on the drum kit. Andrew has the chops to be a great jazz drummer, but does he have the steel to sacrifice everything for his art? The teacher pits his students against one another within the school's prestigious site ensemble band, creating a kind of deranged social Darwinism in the name of Art. The story of the prodigy and the mentor is familiar territory -- could be basketball, could be chess -- but writer/director Damien Chazelle is painting with colors a lot darker than we're used to.Whiplashoffers up the complex themes of a character-driven drama, but with the suspense quotient of a superior thriller. Bonus features on the DVD edition include a commentary track with writer/director Damien Chazelle and the estimable Mr. Simmons, plus a short feature on the film's screening at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Braves OF Melvin Upton to miss rest of spring with injury - Yahoo Sports

Yes, he's probably in great shape and looks better than most 20-year-olds. That doesn't mean that he's in game shape. Even Iman Shumpert, 24, admitted he felt "stuck in [the] mud" after missing just a few weeks earlier in the season, per ESPN.com's Dave McMenamin . If Shumpert was struggling to get his legs underneath him after some time off, how long would it realistically take Allen to acclimate? Jessica Hill/Associated Press After all, there are only six weeks remaining for the Cavaliers until playoff time rolls around.

Cleveland Cavaliers Would Be Wise to Pass on Ray Allen | Bleacher Report

The team said he will likely be able to resume baseball activities in early April, about the time the Braves are opening the regular season. Upton was diagnosed with sesamoiditis, which is inflammation in the bone behind the ball of the foot. The condition is a further setback to Upton, who is coming off two miserable seasons after signing a five-year, $75 million contract with the Braves. He batted .208 with 12 homers, 35 RBIs and 173 strikeouts in 2014, which was actually a slight improvement on his initial season in Atlanta (.184, nine homers, 26 RBIs). The 30-year-old Upton has gone by his nickname, B.J., throughout his big league career. Perhaps looking to improve his prospects, he announced at the beginning of spring workouts that he would prefer to use his given name, Melvin.
